Before doctors can conclude on whether a particular skin disease is a sebaceous cyst or not, they will subject the patient to a physical examination. In some instances, doctors will run a background check of the patient’s medical history to know how best to administer treatment. In addition, the sebaceous cyst will be examined thoroughly to check for cancer signs in a patient.
